Hey Eric. I’ve lost a lot of weight dropping from the 230′s to the low 190′s, averaging 2 pounds loss a week. Now that I’m this low the weight loss is much more difficult & I’m much hungrier all the time. Is there any advise you can give to get these last 10 pounds off? Any advise u can give to help me not be so hungry all the time now?
Your hungry cause your starving, which is a little concerning to me Cody. The difficult thing to manage when trying to lose weight and train hard at the same time is getting enough fuel to train, without becoming catabolic. Follow my guidelines from the TF article for pre/during/post training. I also think that you should be eating 5-6 small meals a day. This way you won’t be starving. Also plants such as beans, veggies, fruit are very low in calories and high in nutrients, so they will make your full. A lot of cravings come from needing micro nutrients, not only calories. So load up on those veggies big Dawg! They’re high in fiber, protein, and water which will keep you feeling full.
I grew up in Santa Fe and now live by the ocean in Santa Cruz, CA. I’ve gone through the USMS and Open Water Source websites and have found almost nothing on open water swims in New Mexico. Are there any swims out there that I’ve overlooked? I love to train and compete and am always looking for ways to include my family. If there were any open water swims out there, I’d be there in a heartbeat (especially if they are 5or 10 k distance).
I wish there were but there are none:( The triathlon scene has really taken over the last couple of years but we are still lacking open water swim races. Lets connect on Facebook and I’ll let you know if any races spring up!
